Illustrious inhabitant
José Orozco y Jiménez
The house was the residence of Archbishop José Francisco Orozco y Jiménez. The historical document records his return to Guadalajara on October 14, 1919 and his stay at Pedro Loza's estate.
The offices of the archbishopric occupied the ground floor and its rooms were distributed on the upper floor. As time went by, the house had different owners and came to function as a boarding house, before becoming a hotel.
